There comes a time in life when you have to let go of all the pointless drama & the people who create it, and surround yourself with people who make you laugh so hard that you forget the bad and focus solely on the good. After all, life is too short to be anything but happy.

Chapter Three: A trial in Krajovyk

I woke up to the sound of my cell door creaking open. A person (I think) with a black cloak on held the door open for me. Waiting for me to walk out.

Candles hanging on the walls lit the pathway for me. Cobwebs hung from the different angles of the ceiling and the walls. Where it would look like you'd turn right (or left) you would turn, and it'd be just a wall.

You could hear the echo of my boots against the cobblestone path. I turned a corner (this time a real one) and walked into another room. The room was packed with more "people" in black cloaks. The "person" behind me pushed me down the walk way that was in between rows on both sides of me.

A man witha long gray beard stood up. He looked very cheerful, his smile was wide showing all of his pearly white teeth.

"Kairie, It's me! I'm the squirrel!" the old man yelled.

The people in the black cloaks turned their heads toward me. I looked around and saw two faint blue circles that resembled in two windows. I sat down next to the old man/squirrel thing.

A person in a Purple cloak walked out of a door located to the left of the room. The room resembled a court room back at home. The person in the purple cloak sat down in the judge's chair.

"Now!! We have one of the most deadliest cases we have seen in years." the purple cloaked person said.

I look around trying to find a person who looks like they might be guilty of something. Nobody in particular catches my eyes.

"Kairie Vilkenson has violated rules 39, 47, 64, and 103 from the Sorcerer's Society book of rules. This kind of crime can end in a punishment of death, or 50 years in our Sorcery Prison. Now it is up the jury to decide the fate of Miss Vilkenson."

Chapter Two: A cry for Help

Seven times I called my parents... not one single call was answered. Seven times I left a voice mail... not one call was returned. This day had started out so great, I applied for a new job at our local cafe, I didn't get in one single fight with my mom or Trina. Now the day was ending with me comforting Trina, and Bentley mumbling to himself.

We slept on the side of the street tonight. I never thought I'd say that. People on the street walk by, and Bentley, Trina, and I cry for help, but the people don't even look at us let alone notice us. However, whenever we switch positions or talk an animal that passes by will always notice us. It's almost as if we're invisible to man-kind.

"I didn't think today would be the day I was gonna die. In fact I woke up this morning feeling great." mumbled Bentley.

"Bentley, you are far from dying." I say trying to cheer him up.

" Ya know, I read a book like this once. Everybody ended up dying in the end... terrible ending."

"Trina! I mean really? Not a good time!"

At this point I'm tired of Bentley's whining, and mumbling, and Trina... well... just being Trina. A squirrel climbs up the tree we have in our back yard. I decide to follow it up the tree. A squirrel will give us good protien, and give me excercise from chasing it! Just as I'm about to grab it's tail, It turns around.

"Did you ask first?" It says.

I just stare at it and rub my eyes... wondering if this is a dream or if it's real.

"Didn't your mom and dad teach you it's polite to answer when someone asks you a question?"

Yup, It's real. I turn around to see if Bentley and Trina notice this too. Bentley is still mumbling to himself, but this time he is standing up and exploring the area where our house used to be, and Trina is yet again focused on her phone. She has one of those new phones where you can get internet where ever you have service.

"Yest, but" I answer

"But what? Hhmm let me guess, You've never seen a talking squirrel before?"

"Sorry, but No." I answer trying hard not to laugh.

"Now, now dear no need to worry. I am not really a squirrel you see?

The what-I-though-was-a-squirrel thing starts turning different colors. Blue, Red, Gree, Pink, Purple, Orange, then goes back to Green and stops. His eyes close and suddenly everything goes dark. I feel around, from what I can tell I am in a dark, dark cell.

Chapter One: A Phone Call

There's a difference between getting a normal call from you Grandfather saying, " Hi Dear, How are you? How's school? Blah Blah Blah." and one saying, "Kairie, you need to get you and your family out of the house right now!" Knowing my luck, I did not get the nice, happy, warm greeting phone call.

"Bentley, Trina!!" I yell at the top of my lungs. Trina comes running down the stairs engrossed in her phone texting, and stumbles on her own two feet being the non-multi tasker she is. Bentley doesn't hear me. He's doing the caht thinkg they have fo the Xbox 360's, and is concentrating hard on killing these mutant things. A nine year old should not be playing these games... that probably explains what's wrong with that boy.

I pull the cord for the Xbox out of the outlet. Bentley's eyes are still staring at the screen wondering what just happened.

"Kairie, did you call me down here for a reason, or 'cause you wanted to see me fall on my own two feet?"

"No, Grandpa said we need to hurry up and get out of the house. I don't know why, but I do know that we need to listen and respect what our Grandpa says." I say feeling like a Grown Up with the wise choice of words I used.

"Kairie... You know Grandpa is insane! Mom and Dad were thinking about putting him in a Mental Institute!" says Bentley.

"I don't care what they think, I think it's a good idea to listen to Grandpa. He probably knows more then all of us put together do!" I yell, once again using the top of my lungs.

I finally get Bentley and Trina outside. We were out there for about five minutes, when the sky turns completely gray, and it starts pouring rain. Lightning and thunder are surrounding us. Just when we were all running inside out of the rain, We ran up the front steps, and looked up. Our house that was just there a few minutes ago.... was gone.
